We ask for feedback because we actually use it. Here's how feedback works at Tillson Woods.

How We Gather Feedback

Formal Channels

  • Move-in and move-out feedback
  • Maintenance request follow-ups
  • Annual check-ins
  • Direct requests on specific topics

Informal Channels

  • Everyday conversations
  • Maintenance request patterns
  • Online reviews
  • Community events

What We Do With Feedback

Categorization

  • Immediate action: Safety issues, urgent maintenance
  • Operational improvements: Process changes, policy tweaks
  • Capital improvements: Physical changes requiring investment
  • Information: Understanding resident experience

Evaluation

We consider:

  • Is it feasible?
  • Is it affordable?
  • Does it serve the community?
  • Are there tradeoffs?

Examples of Feedback in Action

Move-In Communication

What residents may ask for: clearer timing, utility setup reminders, parking details, and contact paths before move-in. How we respond: improve checklists, confirmation emails, and leasing follow-up so people know what to expect. The impact: fewer surprises and a smoother first week in the community.

Maintenance Follow-Up

What residents may ask for: better status updates after submitting a work order. How we respond: review the maintenance workflow with the property management team and tighten communication where needed. The impact: residents know their request was received and what the next step is.

Outdoor Areas

What residents may ask for: practical places to walk, sit outside, and enjoy the wooded setting. Public information: The Playground is Tillson Woods’ planned outdoor recreation and gathering area. Proposed features include two pickleball courts, walking paths, grilling and picnic areas, Adirondack seating, fire-pit gathering spaces, and landscaped outdoor areas. The qualification: The final design, amenities, landscaping, access, rules, and completion timeline are subject to change.
